The Unit Leader is a member of the 2007 Midwest Fish and Wildlife Conference Steering Committee.

The Unit Leader helped process deer heads at the Black Earth Processing Center, Fall 2006.

The Unit Leader is a member of Secretive Marshbird Monitoring working group for the Wisconsin Bird Conservation Initiative.

The Unit Leader was a co-organizer of a symposium for the 2007 TWS annual meeting: "Biometrics in Wildlife: Past, Present and Future".

The Assistant Unit Leader is an Assistant Editor of the Journal of Wildlife Diseases.

The Assistant Unit Leader serves at the USGS Technical Committee representative to the Arctic Goose Joint Venture.

The Assistant Unit Leader is a member of the Scientific Advisory Committee for PrioNet Canada (One of the Canadian Network Centers of Excellence).

The Assistant Unit Leader is a member of the Wisconsin DNR CWD Health and Science Advisory Team, CWD Research Collaboration and Review Committee, and CWD Research Committee.

The Assistant Unit Leader is a member of the Wisconsin DNR Technical Guidance Team for the CWD Public Advisory Group.

The Assistant Unit Leader is a member of USDA NC1024 Multi-state Research Committee on Domestic Surveillance, Diagnosis, and Therapy of Transmissible Spongiform Encephalopathies.

The Assistant Unit Leader was a co-organizer of a symposia on wildlife disease for the 2007 Wildlife Society Conference and Midwest Fish and Wildlife Conference.

The Assistant Unit Leader represents the Department of Wildlife Ecology on UW Conservation Health Consortium.

The Assistant Unit Leader is a Board Member on The Wildlife Society Wildlife Disease Working Group.
